I think that for this last post I will be very frank, I would change many things in my program of study. Of the subjects, there are many that I do believe are very necessary for our career. However, subjects like; history seminar, aesthetics, music seminar, at least when I had to take them, I felt that I was losting my time more than learning.
I didn't learn anything, in no one of these subjects they didn't even give us new material, they repeated material that we had already seen in the first years of our career, and some of them were taught at times that were not convenient for me because of my time.
The workload, for my taste and speaking for my career, I think it is within the margins of acceptable academic load. I don't remember feeling so bad by all the things we have to do during the year, unlike other careers in the faculty.
And well, the duration of my career is 8 years, which I find absolutely unnecessary, since we could perfectly well learn and develop our areas in less than 5 years. It would be better to prepare us to study abroad, since the education in opera singing in Chile is not the best.
If we talk about infrastructure, our faculty gives much to talk about, and in the bad sense of the word. broken windows, uncomfortable bathrooms, unstable elevators. There are no rest areas in the faculty, and I could go on all afternoon expressing my dissatisfaction with this faculty.
Regards.
